Advent, Christmas and 'The Nativity Tableau'

The children have enjoyed two weeks of ‘Festive fun’!

Firstly, they learnt about getting ready for Christmas during Advent. They worked together to make Advent wreaths.

We have enjoyed lots of Christmas activities. We have made cards, star tree decorations and lots of Christmassy pictures with sequins and glitter! Ava’s mummy made us some lovely gingerbread tree biscuits which we enjoyed decorating.

The children worked very hard practising the songs for their performance of “The Nativity Tableau”. We hope you all enjoyed the performance. We were very proud of them!

There was much excitement yesterday for the Christmas Party. Everyone enjoyed party snacks, craft activities, games and a surprise visit from Father Christmas who gave a present to each child.

We are saying farewell to Mrs Hounslow and wish her a happy and healthy retirement. We would like to thank her for the contribution she has made to the nursery children's learning. We will miss her very much and hope she will find the time to come and visit us!

Please do complete a “WOW” sheet during the Christmas holidays. We would like to hear all about your Christmas celebrations.

We thank you so much for your cards and gifts. They were very much appreciated.
We wish all the nursery children and their families a very Happy Christmas and best wishes for a happy and healthy 2019.
Mrs Corcoran and the nursery team.
