Final week of term

On Tuesday the children attended the Year 6 Leavers Mass. They sat beautifully throughout the service so we felt they deserved a treat to celebrate!  They enjoyed a special ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’ snack time and enjoyed some fun teddy bear activities during ‘learning through play’.

Yesterday, in our PE lesson we played with balloons.  We cheered each other on as we raced with our balloons and explored different ways to make our balloons move – patting, kicking, punching and walking with them between our knees!

The new Reception class teacher, Miss Cullinane, came in to visit the children. The children enjoyed spending some time in the Reception class with her. Today, the Reception class children came to visit the Nursery children and presented them with a special message that each of them had written to welcome them into the Reception class. They will be bringing these messages home today.

Here is a photograph of Miss Cullinane.

Many thanks to all of the parents for your support this year. We have had a wonderful year teaching all of the children; they grow and learn so quickly at this stage in their lives.   We thank you so much for you kind words and generous gifts. To those who are leaving us to move onto Reception classes in new schools, we wish you all the best and please do keep in touch!  For those of you moving to the Reception class here, we look forward to seeing you in September as you move on to the next stage of your learning journey at St Dominic.
We wish you all a safe, happy and fun-filled summer.

Mrs Corcoran, Mrs Clarke, Mrs Mann and Mrs Hounslow.
