Advent, Christmas and “The First Nativity”

The children have enjoyed two weeks of ‘Festive fun’!

Firstly, they learnt about getting ready for Christmas during Advent.  They attended
the Advent assembly led by Year 3 and then worked together to make Advent wreaths.

We have enjoyed lots of Christmas activities. We have made cards, salt dough tree
decorations, calendars, and lots of Christmassy pictures with sequins and glitter!

The children worked very hard learning their words and practising the songs for their
performance of “The First Nativity”.  We hope you all enjoyed the performance. We
were very proud of them!

There was much excitement on Friday for the Christmas Party and many asked several times during the morning – “When is the party starting?” Everyone enjoyed a party lunch, craft activities, games and a surprise visit from Father Christmas, who gave a present to each child and remarked how well behaved they all were.

Please do complete a “WOW” sheet during the Christmas holidays.  We would like to
hear all about your Christmas celebrations.

We thank you so much for your vouchers and gifts.  They were very much appreciated.

We wish all the nursery children and their families a very Happy Christmas and best wishes for a happy and healthy 2018,

Mrs Corcoran
