What a wonderful couple of weeks we have had to end our first term at nursery. Two highlights were performing "Our First Nativity" to parents and friends and yesterday having lots of fun at the nursery Christmas party.
The children did really well with their performance, singing, dancing and narrating their way through the story of the very first Christmas. Afterwards we all enjoyed some mince pies and tea and coffee together. Here are a few photos of the big day.

Our Christmas time started when we took some of the decorations we had made in nursery to decorate the Christmas tree in the hall.

We have been busy during the mornings creating decorations, cooking gingerbread stars and making some lovely Christmas pictures.

On Friday we all had fun at the Christmas party.  Thank you for all the donations of food .The children certainly have good appetites. We enjoyed meeting Father Christmas and checked out what snacks he and his reindeer would like to eat on Christmas Eve.

We still had time to enjoy developing our football skills with Mr Simmonds on Wednesday. Here we are in action.

On Tuesday we found out all about how Christmas is celebrated in Spain. We looked at pictures on the whiteboard, heard about some Christmas traditions and learned how to say happy Christmas in Spanish. "Feliz Navidad!"

Here are a few of the other things we have done over the last two weeks.

Thank you for all your support this term. The children have made a wonderful start to their nursery year and we look forward to welcoming some new friends after Christmas.
On behalf of all the nursery team may I wish you all a very Happy Christmas
