Happy Easter!

This past week has been filled with lots of Easter activities. During our RE lessons, we heard the Easter story when Jesus come alive again. We went to the prayer garden and then to the hall during the ‘Be Spirited’ week. In the hall we went to different stations to pray and think about God. On Thursday the children attended mass and sat beautifully and observed all that Father was doing. The children took their lent boxes up to the library and placed all their coins out on big lettering. The money will be donated to Westminster Catholic Children’s’ Society.

We have also enjoyed lots of Easter art like decorating Easter eggs with paint and colourful paper, colouring Easter eggs by number, sorting pompom ‘Easter eggs’ according to colour, making Easter baskets and looking for hidden eggs!

We would like to thank the PTA for organising a fantastic Easter egg hunt in the Nursery playground. The children enjoyed participating in it.

Here are a few other pictures showing what we've been up to this week....

Our topic for next term is ‘Big and small’. The first week back we will be following the children’s interests and learning about BIG dinosaurs.

Enjoy the 2 week break.  Have a special Easter holiday with those you love!

Changes in colour and sound

This week we have been talking about changing colours and sounds. We enjoyed colour mixing on a large and small scale. The children used paint and HUGE rollers to mix the colour outside while inside we used lettuce spinners and primary colours to make secondary colours in a ‘whizz’. What fun!

We planted Easter gardens in RE. Here are some lovely examples.

This week the whole school enjoyed Science and Engineering week classes. We had a visit from a mum, Ms Millins, who led a session in Nursery and taught us about maths through drama. We had a great time. Here are some photos of the morning…..

Look at what we have been up Nursery this week

Looking forward to next week….
