Welcome back after half term. We hope you all had a super break.
This week we have been learning about baby animals and how they grow and change. We read a flap book called ‘Baby Goz – When I grow up’ by Steve Weatherill. The children enjoyed reading the book and lifting the flaps to reveal a baby animal. They then had to guess which ‘adult’ animal was it mum. In key worker time we talked about how the children have grown and changed since they were born. Thank you for the baby photos. The children were excited to meet Enya’s baby sister! Thank you for coming to visit us Effie.
During Maths, the children were ‘Shape detective’ who had to look for different shapes in the Nursery environment. Below are some shapes that we found!
Thank you Mrs Web for our dinosaur number line!
The role play area has been converted into a shop. The children worked well, taking turns to be the shopkeeper or a customer in the shop. The children have enjoyed looking at the different coins.
Next week our topic is ‘Food’. We will be looking at food logos and the children will observe how popcorn changes when the seeds are heated! We will then enjoy munching the popcorn!
Here are some photos of other fun things we have enjoyed this week…
Don’t forget to dress up for World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March.
We are looking forward to at Nursery’s class assembly on Thursday 10th March at 9:15.
Have a super weekend
