Summer Sports

The nursery children have been little superstars this week. There has been lots of changes to their usual routine and they have all coped really well. On Tuesday we joined the rest of the school for a photograph. Nursery waited patiently to be shown where to sit and were complemented on how well they waited and then how beautifully they sat for the photograph. Well done nursery.

On Monday we ended our day with a small gymnastics demonstration as we thought about the different sports  the children take part in outside nursery.

I'm sure the highlight of the week for all the children was Sports Day on Friday. After 3 weeks of "training" everyone completed their races with great skill and enthusiasm and not a dropped bucket or bean bag in sight. Here they are in training on Wednesday.

Next week we have our trip to Stockwood park on Tuesday which we are all very excited about. In maths we will be thinking about comparing amounts using the words more and fewer and ordering numbers 1-20. In PE we will start some activities using bats and balls. We have had a few games of "tennis" this week inspired by all the racquets the children have brought in for speaking and listening. I think we have a few budding tennis stars among us.

Here are a few of the other things we have done this week. Have a lovely weekend and I hope to see you at the Summer fair.
