Stockwood Park

This week saw the nursery visit Stockwood Park in Luton. We had a great day doing many different things including a minibeast workshop. The children were a pleasure to take out joining in enthusiastically with all the different activities and behaving beautifully. My thanks once again to all the parent helpers who gave up their day to join us. Here are a few photos and there will be more on display in the classroom next week.
Fun on the coach

Exploring the Galleries

                              Playing on the large stones

                                       Minibeast Workshop

Listening to a story about a squirrel that got stuck
Making a minibeast mask
                                                                   Having Lunch

And finally fun in the play park before coming home.

On Friday we enjoyed "Free Flow Friday" as the nursery children used both the reception and nursery classrooms dung "explore and learn."

Next week we will be looking at what happens when we mix paint with different media eg shaving foam or sand. in maths  we are learning a little more about 2D and 3 D shapes. In phonics we will continue to review the different sounds we have learned this year. On Thursday some of the nursery children will spend part of the morning in reception as it is the information morning for new  reception parents. Nursery will be open as usual to all the children who are not moving onto reception at St Dominics and we will be doing some cooking, parachute and art activities.

Here are a few of the other things we have done this week.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend
Jill Clarke
