We have enjoyed a lovely last week in nursery taking part in lots of different Christmas activities. The children have made salt dough stars, finished their Christmas cards, made star bags and rudolph themed chocolate krispie cakes.

They even played a game called wrap the christmas present (a football) in wrapping paper (2 plastic cones) in PE.

On Thursday we had our nursery Christmas party. The children were a real pleasure to have at a party; taking part in all the games, chatting to Father Christmas and eating their party lunch, behaving beautifully throughout. Thank you for  all your food contributions.

Thank you very much for all the lovely Christmas gifts you gave to the nursery staff.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and happy new year and look forward to seeing you all in January as we welcome eleven new children into the nursery class. Our topic will be books and stories.

Our First Nativity

This week we started the week by decorating our nursery Christmas tree.

We then held our dress rehearsal for our first nativity play.

I am sure you all enjoyed the performance on Tuesday. I thought the children were amazing : singing, dancing and acting so well . The next day the children had a great time watching parts of the play which we had filmed.
During the week the children have continued to think about Christmas decorating trees, writing a letter to Santa and exploring texture by decorating stars to add to our nativity scene. We have also been listening to the Christmas story each day and talking about the characters and events of the story. Thank you for sending in your children’s favourite books. We will continue to share some of them next week and will repeat the week in the spring term.
On Thursday we have the nursery party in the afternoon. Thank you for signing up for food contributions. Please bring all food either on disposable or named plates to nursery on Thursday morning.
Here are a few other things we have done this week.

Have a lovely weekend.
